The Black Swan or Dirty Duck is Stratford’s true theatre pub. Trading as a pub since 1738, and known as the Black Swan since 1776, this popular thespian pub was given its nickname ‘The Dirty Duck’ by locals, and it’s the only pub in England which has a license under two names.
