The Dog & Partridge is a 17th century building with many stories to tell. In 1788, the Bury Post records that a man devoured the whole of an earthenware pint mug, except the handle. He would have swallowed that too, but the person with whom he had betted a trifling wager, expressed himself perfectly satisfied! We also have 9 cosy bedrooms upstairs available to book in our hotel.
